Tree Saddle
Pad or Blanket for an Ortho-Flex Saddle and/or Flex-Tree Saddle?
OK, I have two arabians.One is 8 (I lease her) and the other is 3 (I own him). I have an older ortho-flex saddle. It has a panel system, so the panels actually flex with the horse, it is NOT a traditional treed saddle. I am getting a flex-tree saddle. This is semi-custom fit to the 8-year old mare. It is a traditional treed saddle made with a flexible material.
I was told to use a very thin pad for the ortho-flex saddle (like a MAYTEX blanket). I am not sure what to use for the show ring in the flex-tree saddle. I am showing in the flex-tree ONLY. I would like to know if I should use a PAD or BLANKET for it. Also I would like to use the same pad/blanket for both. What do you recommend? Why?
The flex-tree saddle is from Dixieland Saddlery (www.dixielandgaitedsaddles.com)
either is fine, for the show you need a white pad or blanket (like a dressage pad) i have a flex saddle and i use both pads and blankets email me if u have any other questions
