Top Notch
How does a top-notch resume look? What is it important that you design and compose a top-notch resume?
I've done lots of resume writing for myself and others. Are you a student writing your 1st one, or currently working and updateing an old one? If your in the first catagory, include all jobs, volunteer work, university activities/awards, and GPA (if it is 3.0 or higher). If you are curretnly working, focus more you work experience, but do include any special honors/awards, and volunteer work if recent. Don't use the word "I", use good descriptive words like, trained, supervised, organized, coordianted. There are several basic resume formats. If you are looking for a specif type of job, use the kind that states an objective; Seeking a position as a Medical X-ray Technician. But if you are applying for different jobs, use the format that groups your skills. Use good quality white or off white paper, matching envelope. Bottom line, keep it one page (refernce sheet seperate), use "power words", and proof read it 5 times. there are lots of books that give examples of the different formats. good luck.
