Wide Saddle
Sunday, December 26th, 2010how do i tell if my saddle is a wide tree?
hello,
i have a saddle that is getting on the small side for me and i actually want to use it before i cant anymore.
so my trainer's horses all have wide backs and i dont know what size my saddle tree is.
is there any way i can find out?
i can fit three fingers comfortably through the tree.

it's a kincade all purpose english saddle
if you take it to a tack store, they can probably measure it and give you an idea of what size it is.
If its a wintec, then it has a changeable gullet that has a size on it. (one of the many reasons we love them)
Also, some saddles say the sizes on the underside or inside of the saddle flap.
