Monday, August 16th, 2010Help! Going to a funeral. What should I wear?!?
Its an english funeral of my neighbor. I know I should wear black, but what oother colours are APPRORIATE? Is it ok to take a handbag that is black suede with a black ribbon bow on it? What else do I need to know about these funerals? Thanx =/
How about if I wear Black trousers, with a black top (its kinda long like just above my knees and it has decorative cutting at the top so i have to wear a top underneath) with a jade blue top underneath. With the black bag?
Teresa- How DARE YOU! I am not bothered about looking good! I just want to be respectful and want to know what is respectful to wear! Dont you dare call me names! Actually the bag is far from prada. It was a gift and actually £3 from Tesco. Anywayz I dont have to explain myself to low lives like you!
Black is definitely traditional, if you wear something simple, modest, and black you can't go wrong. but don't feel restricted to that.. i've worn color to funerals. some people specifically ask you to NOT wear black to funerals. it depends on your relationship to the person.. everyone's feelings about the death.. etc
Maybe if you just wear a conservative black dress with tights and a coat and then your handbag.
