How long will it take to see growth.From japanese black pines raised from seeds?

You have to find out the temperature which the seeds will sprout. Every species of conifir (pines, spruces, junipers, fir etc) have a very specific temperature to incubate. You have to first find out the temperature the species Japanese Black Pine incubates. And these guides tell you the specific temperature and how many days it takes.
... I just found an old (printed) list that i downloaded from Montana State University Extension Center. They don't have a Japanese Black Pine on the list. But you would have to research this. They call this incubation period "Stratification" So if you search online you would enter that word in the site search. Here are a couple of my favorite seedling research sites. Did you know that some states have subsidize programs for buying seedling. The seedlings sell in the the $1.25 to $4.00 range. They are state sponsored programs so they are funded by state government and then the institution sells them to the public at considerable savings. The big expense is the shipping which usually runs around 10-15 dollars.

Haaaa haaaa I just did some digging and found the printed list online!!! This was printed out maybe 5 years ago and I located it! Found "a needle in a hay stack" well now you know about the list I was referring to here it is:
