Pleasure Riding
Saturday, December 11th, 2010what type of saddle is better for pleasure riding?
western or english?
umm...rockmos (or whatever your name is) if you didnt know why would you answer???
I think its a matter of personal preference, I prefer western. I think western gives you a little added security out on the trail, as you have the horn to fall back on when the riding gets tough, but I have never ridden English so I couldn't say for sure. As far as a brand, I have heard that Bob Marshall treeless saddles are great saddles for pleasure riding, and even for riding in disciplines. The great thing about them is that they are treeless, and therefore fit any horses back, instead on a normal saddle where you have to make sure the tree fits you own horse. But this is just what a breeder told me, I haven't personally experianced one yet, hopefully one day I'll buy one.
