English Jump

Hello, im getting a horse soon and we are not sure what she was trained in, we just know she is broken and sound. i want to train her for western (all events) and english (jumping) how could i do this? i dont have a arena, just a big empty feild with no fence.. i dont have any real horse jumps or anything like that.. what can i use and what would be a good way to train her so she doesnt get stressed out?
for jumps you can make them out of pvc pipe, they last forever and are cheap, just go to home depot.
just start with them spaced on the ground and have her walk over them, then trot when she is use to it, then start with very small jumps and work your way up.
