I need to cut the banana bites to school the girl of my party and I'm not sure how long before the party I'm doing this!
Keep cut fruits such as apples, pears, bananas and peaches from turning brown by coating them with an acid like lemon juice, orange juice or pineapple juice. Or use an anti-darkening preparation Trade with fruit, such as Ever-Fresh (TM) or fresh fruit (R), and follow the manufacturer's instructions. I usually juice freshly squeezed OJ or pineapple juice instead of lemon juice because they do not take away the sweetness of the banana. If you cover well or put in an airtight container, they should last 6-8 hours.
