Bit Copper
Friday, November 26th, 2010Can i use a copper training bit for a horse, even though i could ride my gelding in a halter? is it too severe
i did some research on bits and i noticed i've been using a copper TRAINING bit on my horse, who's, 90% of the time, calm. is it too sever for him? i'm afraid i've been getting his mouth sore, and, since i just recently bought him, i also noticed that he still has his canine teeth and after riding i found that his mouth was bleeding. i've stopped riding him until the vet can come and remove the canine teeth, i also think that he might still have his wolf teeth, too. i just want to know if the bit is too sever, and if the bleeding was from the teeth or the bit. sorry for the question being so long, i'm just worried. :}
