Size Bridle
What size bridle should I get?
My Fjord has a huge head I guess.. I just noticed yesterday that the current bridle we have is rubbing on the side of his eye pretty badly (must of happend one day when he was sweaty). The nose band fits around on the very last hole. I'm not sure if the bridle is just too small, crappy make or what exactly. I think it's just a normal horse size bridle and I believe the maker is kincade. He is a Norwegian Fjord (draft/pony/horse) and he has a huge head. What size bridle can I get?
Kincade sorry to say is not one of the best on the market, it sounds like to require an extra full.
Steps on fitting
The browband should be long enough to prevent the ears being pinched
There should be four fingers width Between the throatlatch and the horses face
There should be a least a fingers width Between the top of a noseband and the bottom of the facial bones,it should not be so tight it stops the horse from mouthing the bit
There should be a least a fingers width between a strop strap and the horses muzzle, hope this helps.
