what are the measurments on an archtop guitar, between the tail piece and saddle, saddle and frets??
its an older guitar so i don't know anything about it. was my grandfathers, so i refinished it...looks great, but no clue were to put the saddle lol
the distance from the bridge to the twelfth fret should be the same as the distance from said fret to the nut. That would give you your second harmonic, which is the string vibrating in half... an even split. Measure from your nut (or "zero fret" if so equipped) to your twelfth fret. That would also be the distance to the bridge. The tailpiece on an archtop attaches at the bottom. The saddle or bridge is all that needs to be correctly placed for intonation. good luck!
