What size western saddle for my husband?
I'm not very familiar with how western saddles are measured for riders. I've always ridden english. My husband just started riding and the two saddles we have available are way to small, his butt almost goes over the edge. He is 5'8" and about 185lbs; he is normal body shape/size. What size saddle in inches might fit him? (just so i can have an idea before saddle shopping) thank you
My husband uses a 16"... you don't want something too big or too small...for either the horse or the rider!
You want the saddle to fit the horse properly! Make certain you get the right size bars (semi, or full quarter horse, arab, etc...)....
