what type of oil should i use on my Kawasaki ZX9?
what brand and what weight should i use? do i really need synthetic or is regular fine? im selling my bike and will probably ride less than 2 km before i sell it.
what kind of oil filter do i use? should i just use fram or should i go to the dealership and get a kawasaki oil filter?
Here is the truth about oil and filters. Kawasaki or any other manufacturer does not make and sell oil or filters, they sold that right to the lowest bidder. With that being said, I would still use what the manufacturer recommends (as far as synthetic or organic) for type of oil, I would just go with what you like. I use oil made with a high VI (viscosity Index) number.
I get my filter from carquest (at more than half the price), they can cross reference the numbers and get the same filter made by a different manufacturer.
