Pvc Running
What is a safe paint to use on PVC, that will come in contact with the hands and mouth?
My son is making PVC marshmallow shooters for his friends for Christmas and wants to paint them, and we didn't know if spray paint would be a good choice knowing they have to put their mouths on them to blow the marshallows out? Does anyone have any ideas of what to use that will be a safe choice, and also stick well to the PVC permanently without coming off on the hands and mouth? Do you think food coloring like dye would be a good choice? Considering easter eggs are colored and haven't hurt anyone?...lol Please help we are running out of time!!! Thanks for your help.
Krylon makes a new paint that is made for plastic called 'Fusion' or something like that. works well on PVC.. it will not rub off, but it does come off pretty easily with a sharp object/hard object.. I would not put it in my mouth though.
If you use Schedule 40 use some Carb and Choke cleaner to remove the glossy finish on the PVC. Just spray on and wipe off. probably a good idea to rinse also
