putting stirrup irons on a saddle?
Ok so I just got a new wintec saddle. when it got here the irons were not attached to the saddle.They are Korsteel Peacock Irons. The ones with the little safety strap thingee. My question is how do I put them on. Like I know how but which way will they face? Should the rubber strap be on the outside away from my horse or on the inside close to my horse? Thanks A bunch!!!!
Thanks everybody!! I got them on and I will try the saddle on my horse tomorrow to make sure it fits and the girth is the right size, and to see if the saddle pad is thick enough and such.... I figured the bands would work either way but I thought if the band snapped beside the horse he would freak out!! So I just wanted to make sure. 
The rubber band should be on the outside (opposite of the horse) when your riding.
So when you put them on your saddle, the bands should be facing forwards.
