Pad Pink
The pad on the back of my dog's right front leg is swollen and red/pink. What can I do?
The pad is located above his paw and below his "ankle". We put antibacterial ointment on it and wrapped it but he tears off the wrap and licks it. We think he was injured during a recent grooming. His vet says to keep it wrapped for a couple of weeks but he keeps tearing it off. I have heard that aloe vera ointment is good for this type of injury. We don't want to put a cone on him. What can we do?

back the vet and DEMAND proper treatment. if they vet ignores it, find a new vet.
