What would be the best western tack for me to get?
I would like to train my horse to barrel race. It is not something that I would like to do permanently, or even on a weekly basis even, but I just think it would be something fun and a new challenge for me. I don't have any decent tack at the moment, except for my saddle (which probably isn't the best for barrel racing), and would like to get something that matches. I've noticed that the style now is to have bright neon colors on your horse, and I was looking at something like this http://www.chicksaddlery.com/page/CDS/PROD/1021/CPS704 or this http://www.horsetack.com/products/nylon-tack/ac/ht-tacksets-fl.htm because it's cheap, and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything better at a relatively similar price, or if these would be okay to use. I've never bought tack before (I know, shame on me. I let my old trainer handle that), but please don't treat me like I have no clue what I'm doing. I just don't know much about barrel racing yet. The tack my friend and I suggest is the second one you wish. The first one seems a bit childish, and doesn't seem like its made with the right fabric. And its not all about looks especially if your not going to show. A good place to go for western tack is
