Breastplate Cob
Adjusting a horse bride to fit a Cob....sizing & need help?
I lease a 13.2 pony and everything i am supposed to get for him is cob sized. we play polocrosse together and i want to get a colored bridle and colored breastplate. the place where i was told to order them from only has a 'one size fits most' selection and i want to know if you think i could make it fit him since he is a cob so here are the sizes for the bridle:
Browband: adjusts from 15 ¼" to 16 ¼" - Not including the rings.
Throatlatch: adjusts from 16" to 26" - Not including the rings.
Cheeks: adjust from 9 ½" to 13 ½" - Not including the rings.
Top Crown adjusts from 11" to 14 ½" - Not including the rings.
Crown and cheeks combined, including rings now adjust from 32" to 40"
The Noseband (entire length) adjusts from 25" to 31"
The Connector (underneath) adjusts from 5-8"
and the sizes for the breastplate:
Between legs, adj. from 10" to 32"
Shoulders: adj. from 15" to 25"
Wither strap adj. from 5" to 13"
Tugs adj. from 4" to 7"

The bridle & breastplate will fit, but you need to just take a deep breath, slow down & be patience. It does take time to do proper fitting ok?! have you tried Jeffers Co., for a bright colored bridle & breastplate? I have bought from there for years & with much happiness. not once have I need to return anything. but I know what you have will take some adjusting, maybe some trimming, but it will fit. I admire your riding. this can be a rough game! be safe & thanks aleechawa
